Photographer Dirk Karsten began his career focused on capturing clear, well-composed images, drawn to structure, light, and form. Over time, his approach shifted. Rather than documenting scenes as they appeared, he became more interested in atmosphere, abstraction, and emotional presence—moving steadily into art photography.
His work now explores subtle details, quiet moments, and visual ambiguity, inviting viewers to slow down and interpret rather than simply observe. This evolution has led to his photographs being shown in curated exhibitions and photography-focused art spaces, His work has been exhibited at the Venice Biennale and art galleries in Europe and the US.
Today, Dirk Karsten continues to develop a body of work that sits between observation and interpretation, reflecting a thoughtful, artistic approach to the medium.
We provide our prints in two sizes (between 100cm and 140cm wide)
All images come with a certificate of authenticity, and they are limited to an edition of 8 prints.
All prints are produced by the very best printer in the Netherlands on Carson 300-gram paper. Each size includes a 7 cm white border. However, if you would like a different size or no border at all, please feel free to reach out to us.
Our prints are carefully packaged and shipped via FedEx to your address. If your prints arrive damaged, please send us some photos, and we will promptly send you a replacement.

RETURN POLICY
If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with LIK Fine Art retail purchase, you may return it (you are responsible for applicable return shipping costs) within 14 days of receipt and receive store credit for a future purchase. The print needs to be returned in a like-new condition.
CANCELLATION POLICY
You may cancel your order at any time prior to the shipping of the Product. However, instead of a refund, you will be provided a credit to your account with us, which may be applied to future purchases.
DELIVERY
We will make reasonable efforts to deliver the Product as soon as it is available. However, delivery dates are not guaranteed and may be subject to delays for reasons which include, but are not limited to, manufacturing issues, shipping delays, and force majeure events.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim arising out of or in connection with your purchase of the Print shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the print.
ACCEPTANCE OF ARTWORK
As fine art can be fragile, you must inspect the Artwork immediately upon receipt. If the Artwork is damaged or does not otherwise conform with the Order, Client must provide Seller with written notification no later than seven (7) days after receipt of the Artwork. Otherwise, the Artwork is deemed to be accepted.
COPYRIGHT AND REPRODUCTION
All copyright rights, including, without limitation, all reproduction and trade dress rights (collectively, the “Copyright”), to the Artwork are expressly reserved by Seller and Artist. This Agreement does not include a sale or license of the Copyright to Client. Client will not reproduce or copy the Artwork without advance written permission.
IMPORT TAX
You, the Client, are solely responsible for any import duties.
COLOR MATCHING
You acknowledge and understand that colors as seen on a computer monitor may not look the same as the colors as they appear on our manufactured product, and no guarantee is made that any image as seen online will necessarily match exactly the colors on the final product.
PAYMENT
Payment for any order must be made in advance at the time the order is placed. You may pay for your order by credit card, or by PayPal, or such other means as we may in future choose to accept. In the event of a stopped payment, disapproved charge or other failure to submit pre-payment, LIK Fine Art shall have the right to cancel the order or, if already shipped, to seek payment and hold customer responsible for any and all costs of collection,
CHANGES
It is not possible to change your order once it has been placed. The only exception is the delivery address, which can be changed if your order has not yet been shipped. To change the address for an unshipped order, please contact us customer via email at
ORDERING
You are responsible for supplying all required information when submitting an order, including complete name, shipping and billing address (no P.O. Boxes), telephone number, valid e-mail address, and valid payment method. No responsibility is assumed for mis-delivery due to incorrect information supplied by a customer. We reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order at any time, in which case the customer’s sole remedy is a refund of any payment(s) made for such order.
